​Many people feel that they have no control over their anxiety or the way they react to it. Anxiety can be so disempowering that it can end careers, stop people from socialising, going to the shops, sitting exams or even answering the telephone. How do i know this? Well...many years ago, I too had terrible anxiety which ended my nursing career and left me with virtually no confidence in myself. However, I fought back and built a new career in helping people conquer anxiety. And you can also learn how to recognise that anxiety is a fear, a feeling, a what if this or that happens. You can also learn how to help yourself get back in control and conquer the anxiety response.

 

So What is Anxiety?

Stress and anxiety is a natural response which helps us cope in a short term emergency, however, problems occur when your stress response is going off all the time. The results of excessive stress can lead to migraines, skin complaints, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain and other anxiety disorders. The stress response can have a profound effect on everyday life and so this is where i can help you gain back control.

There are many different ways people experience anxiety such as generalised anxiety disorder, panic attacks, social anxiety and specific fears or phobias. Anxiety levels can go from worry to a feeling of panic. Your anxiety has been learned over time to help you cope or avoid things. And because it has been learned, it can be unlearned. All you need is a commitment to make changes to the way you usually do react.

Your First Session

 

Your first session is an initial consultation is up to 90 minutes. We will explore your anxiety in more detail and discuss your expectations and therapy goals. If time allows we will finish with a lovely hypnosis relaxation. From there we will arrange further sessions according to your needs.

Subsequent sessions of 50- 60 minutes £60
